The main reasons why your Wi-Fi Coverage may be weak are :

  • The layout of your home. If your router is not centrally located, the walls and ceilings may be impacting your wireless signal. Larger premises are more likely to require additional equipment, such as a Wi-Fi booster or extender, to ensure a strong signal.
  • Wireless interference. Any other wireless devices that transmit a wireless signal, such as wireless printers, microwaves, and even a neighbor's wifi signal can all impact your service.
  • The position of your router. Your router should not be placed in a cupboard, on the floor, or covered. It should be kept in a central location within the home, and high up on a desk or shelf.
  • Your router is outdated and cannot handle the speed coming from your internet service provider.
