This is a feature on Android and Apple Smartphones that enables the device to act as a router. Once connected, another device can access the internet via the smartphone's Mobile network coverage.

*Remember to turn off the Wi-Fi hotspot once you are finished with it otherwise, it can drain your battery faster.

How to enable the HotSpot

On your iPhone:

  1. Go to your Settings
  2. Click into Personal Hotspot
  3. Make sure the slider is green to show enabled
  4. It will display the wireless name below
  5. Once enabled, you can connect another device using the Wi-Fi password from your iPhone

On your Android:

  1. Go to your Settings
  2. Click on Connections/ Network and Internet
  3. Click on Mobile Hotspot and Tethering
  4. Then enable Mobile Hotspot
  5. Once enabled, click on Mobile Hotspot again to check the Wi-Fi password required to connect the other device
