How to change the DNS settings on a PlayStation 4: 


  1. Log in to your PlayStation profile on your PlayStation console
  2. Go to Settings > Network > Set-up internet connection
  3. Select your network connection type (WiFi or LAN)
  4. Select Custom set-up
  5. Select Automatic IP address settings
  6. Do not specify DHCP Hostname
  7. DNS Settings select Manual
  8. Enter your preferred DNS servers
  9. Select Automatic MTU Settings
  10. Proxy Server select Do not use
  11. Select test internet connection once steps above have been completed




How to change the DNS settings on an Xbox One: 


  1. Press the Xbox button on your Xbox controller
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select All Settings
  4. Select Network
  5. Select Advanced Settings
  6. Select DNS Settings and change to Manual
  7. Enter your preferred DNS servers
  8. Hit B on the controller to save changes
  9. Verify if your console is connected to the internet
