How to change the DNS settings on a PlayStation 4:
- Log in to your PlayStation profile on your PlayStation console
- Go to Settings > Network > Set-up internet connection
- Select your network connection type (WiFi or LAN)
- Select Custom set-up
- Select Automatic IP address settings
- Do not specify DHCP Hostname
- DNS Settings select Manual
- Enter your preferred DNS servers
- Select Automatic MTU Settings
- Proxy Server select Do not use
- Select test internet connection once steps above have been completed
How to change the DNS settings on an Xbox One:
- Press the Xbox button on your Xbox controller
- Select Settings
- Select All Settings
- Select Network
- Select Advanced Settings
- Select DNS Settings and change to Manual
- Enter your preferred DNS servers
- Hit B on the controller to save changes
- Verify if your console is connected to the internet
