Netflix has its data usage settings set on Auto, which means that content will be streamed at the highest quality possible, depending on the speed of your connection. If you are experiencing buffering, or have a data limit, adjusting the settings can help.
To adjust the settings, follow the steps below:
- Log in to your Netflix account using a web browser.
- Go to your Account page.
- Select the profile on which you would like to adjust the settings. (If you have multiple profiles, you will need to change the settings in each one)
- Under Profile Settings, click on Playback Settings.
- Under data usage, remove auto and select the desired streaming quality. Kindly note that when adjusting the playback settings, your video quality will be affected.
